  • Deployment to Al Dhafra : r AirForce - Reddit
Probably the “best” deployment location in the Air Force, you’re about 45 minutes from Dubai Not sure if COVID has stopped you guys from going off base (OBT = off base travel, your best friend) but if it hasn’t take advantage We needed passports but I believe they changed the guidance so that you only need your CAC
  • How is Al Dhafra ?? : r AirForce - Reddit
I was deployed there and got back earlier this year Things about Al Dhafra: The gym is dope and decently sized- half is workout equipment and the other half is sports like volleyball and soccer They have personal trainers (free) who help you get big muscles- tell my boy “Manu” that Bino said yooo! The DFACs are decent Hit or miss, tbh
  • Good Morning all I’m about to go to Al Dhafra for my first . . . - Reddit
Loved Al Dhafra I got my own rental car for a few months while I was there so I could come go as I pleased, it was great Yeah, it was hot as F but you get used to it Don’t know what your job is but I’d bring lots of civilian clothes because you can do a lot of stuff off base
  • Al Dhafra deployment : r AirForce - Reddit
Hello! I will be going to Al Dhafra at some point, at some time, from some place, for a certain amount of time First-time deployer, NCO, maintainer, spent most of my career as a traditional reservist before making the switch to ART pretty recently Feel pretty confident, but just hoping to get as much good advice as I can before I go
  • Need Info On Al Dhafra : r AirForce - Reddit
Deploying to Al Dhafra soon, saw some info posted by a few, looking for a new and updated information that can be shared, what are current quarters, WiFi, things to do off duty on and off the base, what schedules do most work (non-flyer,) DFAC hours and anything you care to share that doesn't fall under OPSEC Thank you!
  • First deployment: Al Dhafra. How is it? : r AirForce - Reddit
It's a small enough base you can walk everywhere which is great BX has just about anything you can want from essentials to electronics, clothes and snacks I was there during the "winter" so it was slightly cooler than it is during the summer, it can get hot as balls there in the summer; upwards of 120+
  • Al Dhafra : r AirForce - Reddit
When I was there like 10 years ago, it was like a shitty vacation, chow was good, trips off base, movie theater, pool, good gym, and about 6 fast food places on base I'm sure it's been built up and improved quite a bit since then I know they had built condos for us, but at the time, it was outside the wire, so we couldn't use them
  • Al Dhafra Deployment : r AirForce - Reddit
i went there in 2012, we were restricted to a cordoned off part of the base so didn't even get to see the whole base I was a tent for 3 months couldn't go off base, ate at the chow hall for 3 months made some bank but god was it boring
  • Need zip code : r AirForce - Reddit
I just googled al dafra zip code and the first result is the answer
  • Dining at the Dhaf : r AirForce - Reddit
The base is referred to as ADAB The crown jewel of the local DFAC is "Curry Thursdays" The chicken curry is on point, but the shrimp isn't too far behind Food quality is what you would expect for a DFAC, but they offer a wide selection through out the day There is an abundance of Cliff bars and Rip-it's (on the MX side of the base)
